STATEMENT

My practice emerges as liturgy—a poetic gesture that uses images as instruments for enacting my desire to influence the course of life and its unfolding. My work functions as a magical diary, where poiesis becomes a symbolic act to confront and endure the empty spaces opened by loss and disappearance. These spaces of absence are not nothingness; they are conditions in which presence, memory, and reflection can emerge, offering a threshold where life and experience can be held, revisited, and reconsidered.
From this perspective, I attempt to reconstruct my own chronicles as a form of liminal poetry, existing along the delicate and syncretic border between what is inherited and what is personal. Contemplation becomes essential: attending to absence, allowing space for reflection, and pausing within the flow of life opens the possibility of engaging with existence more deeply and consciously. In a contemporary world dominated by constant movement, exposure, and hyperactivity, such attention is not a luxury but a necessary condition for preserving connection with ourselves and with what endures beyond us.
It is a transfigurative act that seeks to reimagine dominant metaphors through incantation—and, although it often falls short like any symbol, the work operates like an amulet, becoming a prosthesis for my own survival; a way to carry absence, memory, and experience forward.
